Eco-Responsibility
For greener and more eco-friendly holidays, Les Lacs du Verdon respects nature and people by monitoring water and energy consumption, through waste management, with leisure activities that do not harm nature, as well as with the promotion of the territory’s actors and natural assets.
Water and energy consumption
Les Lacs du Verdon is equipped with a water control system. This tool allows us to verify our water consumption in real time in order to avoid any potential leaks.
Thanks to a digital platform dedicated to water consumption monitoring, we can:
To minimize energy consumption and light pollution on our campsite we also install energy-saving light bulbs in all the accommodation units when it is possible. Parallely, we are gradually replacing our street lighting with solar street lights.
For all motorized transport within the campsite, our teams mainly use electric vehicles that are quieter and more eco-friendly. We have developed a fleet of electric vehicles that is composed of 16 golf cars. We also engage in raising awareness among our permanent and seasonal staff through different measures!
Waste management
For every step of the life cycle of products, services, and equipment (extraction of primary material necessary for conception, fabrication, use, end of life), environmental impacts are numerous: waste production, water pollution, exhaustion of natural resources, etc.
To face the environmental issues linked to the exhaustion of natural resources, Les Lacs du Verdon is committed to implementing measures that reduce waste production, promoting recycling and reuse (with eco cups, eco-responsible recycled bags, eco-responsible pens…), while training our teams for selective waste sorting.
Les Lacs du Verdon is part of the initiative of selective waste sorting.Our camping’s collection point is located next to the reception office, indicated on the map and the Marvilla Parks app.
Fun and responsible leisure activities that embrace the Marvilla Parks spirit
Our kids’ club offers an activity each week on the topic of ecology for your children which approaches a few ecological principles that are basic and essential to environmental protection. Water and energy saving, forest preservation, waste sorting…
Our evening events are festive with concerts and shows in the Marvilla Parks spirit, while respecting the richness of our surroundings and biodiversity. Our campsite walkways are dimly lit to avoid light pollution. We invite you to bring a flashlight (available at the grocery store).
Many of our supplies are environmentally friendly (eco-labelled paper, eco-responsible pens, etc.), and some of the material we reuse is recycled.
We promote the region's actors and natural assets
Our restaurant offers a number of local organic dishes using carefully selected products from local producers. Organic products are also available in our grocery store.
Les Lacs du Verdon is set in an immense wooded estate close to the Gorges du Verdon. The scenery is magnificent, and the flora and fauna are well represented. That is why we ask you to respect these areas.
